Universal Kite-surfing Hand Signals

As we all know that kite boarding is a very dodgy and risky sport, and it is not as simple as everybody can dare to start it. Still it is among the few of the popular sports across the world. Kite-surfers from all over the world travel in different parts of the world to enjoy kite boarding. So it is very essential for the kite-boarders to acquire the necessary knowledge about the kite boarding hand signals. These signals are very important, as they prove helpful for the kite-surfers to communicate with their companions in the time of danger. One of the big benefits of the universal kite-surfing signals is that people of all languages can use and understand them easily. All the kite-surfers are required to learn all the universal signals for safety purpose.

There is a big list of universal kite boarding signals used by the kite-boarders in the hour of need. Let us discover here some of the most common and important ones. For example, if a kite-surfer requires help from the others then he should wave both of his arms in the air. This is a one of the proper universal kite-surfing hand signals and doing this will indicate others that kite-surfer is in danger and requires their help. Also, if any kite-surfer has gone down in the water, and needs help then he should whistle to signal boats or kite-boarders that are surfing near to him. If a kite-surfer wants to land and he is having problem while landing then he should tap flat hand at his helmet. The kite-surfers on the shore should wave their both the hands to show that they have got his signal and will help him.

Let us tell you some more important universal kite boarding hand signals. If a kite-surfer wants others to look at him, he has to two fingers of any hand at his eyes. And if the kite-surfer wants others to look in any particular direction, he should just point his straight arm in that direction. Remember that there are two signals that are extremely important but they are very simple as well. These signals are “Yes” and “No” signals. If a kite-surfer wants to say, “Yes”, he just nods his head up and down. On the other hand, if he is intended to say, “No”, he would start moving his head in left and right directions.

Now let us move towards the launching signals. When kite-surfers want to launch, they show thumbs up or nod their head to let the other know about it and then they loudly say ‘launch’. Finally, we tell you the get ready to launch signal. It is a very important signal; kite-surfers are required to put their arm above the head to indicate this signal. Remember that the arm should not be straight. Kite-surfers keep their arm at a distance above their head.
