General Information of Phuket
Phuket is the largest island in Thailand and is commonly known as the 'Pearl of South'. It is 34 miles from north to south and 16 miles from east to west. A chain of mountains and valleys divide this island. These mountains and valleys are located in north south range towards down to west coast. And about seventy percent of the land is consisted of those mountains and valley. Mai Tao Sip Song is the tallest peak. Its height is 529 meters. The flat land captures only the thirty percent of this beautiful island. And that portion is in the central and eastern parts of it.

Temperatures
Now let us discuss the climate of Phuket. Its temperature remains within the limit of 21-34 Degrees Centigrade in the year. Water temperature throughout the year is between 26-28 degrees centigrade. Between November and April, the weather is quite sunny with breezes. There is not much humidity during this season. This is called northeast monsoon season.
And the other season is southwest monsoon. And it is mostly full of rains and quite unpredictable. It remains between May and October.
