A brief description about C-quad 2.2
I have this kite with me for the last one year. Now I think I will have to scribble something about this kite for the information of those who are interested in similar objects. The special one single skin and spar make it incomparable to other kites that are now available. But its bigger size makes it less convenient to transport easily by the owners. Still C-quads are found to be extremely sturdy and easy to pull with its unique single skin and spar than any other kite you can purchase from the market. From my own experience with using bars I can tell you that C-quad is good with its handles and not with the bar. Over sized bars make it tough to control and uncomfortable to handle when it starts striking against the ground.
Do you have any plan to purchase a C-quad? If so it is always better to go for a C-quad with handle.
Flying with these kites will become easier when you learn the techniques of using break lines more than the flying lines.
It is always good to have a check for the wear and tear of your C-quads in frequent intervals. Though I didn’t experience any of such problems it is better to have a look at the connector joints and vertical and leading edge spar before you start flying with them every time. Bridles of the kite may show some trouble due to stretching. Make sure that they are all in perfect condition just to avoid the troubles.
The positive qualities of using this kite can be concluded like this
You will get a good and quality kite for the money you pay with C-quad when compared to other moving brands in the market.
It is very good and safe to be used for fighting purposes.
Normally these kites do not disturb your flight by bringing mud or sand into it. Even if landed in mud or water by fault it will dry faster than any other kite that you get in the market.
C-quad will not give any trouble in the cleaning process. The single skin used in C-quad makes it an easy to wash kite than any other kites. You will be able to clean every part of this kite without taking much trouble for it.
It will not be fair on my part leaving this discussion without mentioning the negative qualities of these kites. The disadvantages of using this kite can be listed as follows:
Lack of the standard quality building materials used in this kite can be pointed out as a draw back of this kite. Still you will get the best for the payment you make.
The problems that frequently occur with the connector joints of this kite were annoying. I have experienced it twice in the last twelve months. Repairing and replacing it was found to be quite troublesome for me.
C-quad demands a deviation from the normal flying method. It may take some time for the users to get accustomed with this new method of flying.
It is less convenient to transport from one place to another when compared to the kites that are available in smaller foldable size.
