Kite surfing and jumping
Jumping is considered among the simplest moves that a new kite boarder can make in the starting period of kite boarding. When the kite surfer makes a jump while kite surfing, it provides him such a unique and pleasant feeling that cannot be explained in words. Landing is the most difficult part of jumping. During your early days of your training, your trainer would teach you the basics of jumping and it is up to you that how quickly you pick the trick and learn how to perform a jump while kite boarding.
Jumping is included in the initial training course of the kite surfer; therefore all the kite surfers learn this technique at a very early stage. Today, various kinds of methods have been introduced to perform a jump and the kite surfers really enjoy jumping by using different tricks and techniques. As you acquire a considerable speed and plain, you should begin to reel in your kite to start lifting your board upward. You should then rotate your kite hurriedly overhead as the kite starts to ascend. You may make the use of your back foot for pitching your board at an angle of sixty degrees and pushing up hard. Your body must be crouched with knees bent. The power and lift from your kite and board will move you soaring (into the air). The lift and the hang time will be dependant on the extent of power created by you.
After achieving the peak jump, you are required to keep the nose of your boat tilted and you should bent your knees to get the impact without an accident or crash. A good trainer can introduce you to a lot of advanced techniques of jumping that you can perform under his guidance.
The most important factors are the speed of wind and your speed on the water. If you are successful in maintaining a high speed on water and keep lifting on a good angle then you can easily reach up to 20 feet while jumping, without any problems. You should always remember that if you are going higher in the air during jumping, then it is more difficult to come down successfully.
It is a good idea to keep your board between chops and waves. This will make your board slicing through the plain without crashing downwards. You should always practice the jumping tricks in safe waters where you are away from swimmers and other kite surfers.
