Japanese Encephalitis
If you are planning to visit the rural agricultural areas then for a longer period of time then you should first take Japanese encephalitis vaccination because in those regions mosquitoes hover around, mostly in the night, so there is always a possibility of getting infected by a viral infection of brain. This infection is quite similar to malaria and bite of mosquitoes can cause you this infection.
Smokers Beware!
If smokers have a plan for a visit then they should remember that there is an anti-smoking campaign in the region.
Beware the Crazy Drivers
There are some important advices for the persons who are intended to do drive here. If anyone has got once an accident with a Thai person then if same thing happens again then according to the rule there is a 90% possibility of your fault, whether you have done the mistake or not. And most of Thai people have a habit to ride the motorbike at the wrong end. And the other thing to remember is to wear helmet whenever you are riding a motorcycle. It will be safe for your health as well as your time and money. Because if you are riding motorcycle without wearing helmet and you are caught by police, then there is a fine for you of about 300 baht ($8.00).
Check the Gender
Beware all the "Beautiful Ladies" are not actually females. They can be men like transsexuals or transvestites. And such personalities are very dangerous if anyone may try to cheat them or breaks any kind of promise.
Do be there in monsoon
The period of monsoon season here starts in April and end in August. So in these four months you cannot arrange any sea activity because in this season such activities are not allowed due to the storms and rainfalls. Sun is rarely found in this month.
Scootering - be careful
While scootering one has to be really careful. Roads in Phuket are quite well with left handed traffic but it is a possibility of surprising holes. If such incident may happen then it is you have will have to suffer so always remain alert and be careful. Do not forget to take the driving license and helmet. Otherwise if you are caught by any policemen then it will not be good for you. And if anyone who is not well experienced then he is advised to avoid going to the Phuket town.
Malaria
If you are planning to visit Bangkok or other major tourist resorts of Thailand like Chiangmai, Phuket, Hua-Hin and Koh Samui then you do not need to fear of getting caught in Malaria. Because these are the areas which are free from this disease for many years. And at the moment all the cities of the country have become free from this disease, so there no need to worry. But if anyone is intended to visit rural areas, especially mountainous and border regions then he should cancel his plan because you might suffer from malaria by staying here for few days. Those who want to go in these areas are advised to take safety precautions before going there. In evening and night time they should avoid wearing sleeveless shirts with shorts. And they have to remain in screened quarters. And do not forget to use mosquito repellents. If anyone is caught in fever within half a month then he should get proper treatment.
