History Of Hua Hin
After the First World War, the people were given the chance to move and travel overland with ease. This was possible due to the development of the Southern Railroad. As now the people were allowed to travel across the Malaysian border, more and more people visited Hua Hin. From then, the Hua Hin is famous and well known for its beautiful beaches. Here not only the beaches are present for the visitors but also the other facilities like swimming, fishing, and golf game etc. The history of Hua Hin shows that it was famous for its beauty and climate from very beginning.
The Hua Hin name was on the rise when Railway Hotel was opened. This hotel was built by Purachatra(Prince) who was the head of State Railways. This was very beautiful and elegant building made on the shore. The buildling had really wide big rooms, luxury decoration and chairs and furnitures etc. A formal garden was also made here having the sand and topiary. Also a really excellent golf club was also build having the green and long grounds where new and experienced players could play their favourite game.
Afterwards the Hua hin was flocked by the rich people of Bangkok. In the start these people stay in the hotels. But after some time they started making their own bungalows along the beach. One famous of these people was, Princess Chumbhot and her residence was named as Saen Samran. This was the first holiday residence built in the Hua Hin.
After some period of time the shore of Hua Hin was turned into a compound (sizeable) that belonged to Chandburi Prince. Later, a bungalows complex was built by Price Chakrabongse along with a gazebo on a very beautiful place near Hua Hin village. The gazebo was very attractive with the Vicotorian style. The famous films “The Devil’s Paradise” and “The killing fields” were filmed in the Railway hotel of hua hin and this complex.
Another important personality in the history of the Hua hin was the Princess Chumbhot. She was a lady and was in-waiting to Queen Barni. She is being remembered as royal party member and spent many days at the palace of Prince Nares in 1926. King Prajadhipok was hosting her. He planned a summer palace on hua hin beach. This was designed by Price Nare’s son and was completed after some time. This palace was named as “Klai Kang Won”. The translation of this name is “Away from worries”.
Although the Hua Hin is now a developed area and many changes have occurred here in the last few years, especially. But the pleasures and comfort and the feelings of enjoyment are still present in this place. And everyone who visits Hua hin takes these pleasures and enjoyments with him and leaves his tensions and worries buried here.
Hua hin is really a beautiful resort with a rich history and heritage with worries free environment. This is the Hua Hin. This is the Royal Place.
